Quick and Easy Holiday Pretzel Bites

The holiday season is officially in full swing and sweets, especially the No-bake kind, are the pinnacle of our holiday celebration. I needed a quick and yummy creation, like these chocolate pretzel bites,  that the kids could help create to get the full swing of things.

Baking treats is pretty much my favorite part of this season, right after Christmas music, pine trees, decorating my mantle, wearing big wooly socks, wrapping gifts, writing letters to Santa, THE ELF, starting new traditions, instilling holiday spirit … the etceteras are endless here.  I am just a Christmas kinda’ gal.  Back to baking – that is something I really enjoy but it can be a serious pain-in-the-ass. Right about the time I get things mixed, heated, ready to go a kiddo comes in needing to potty, needing to nap or wanting to help. They just love to help in the kitchen, as despite it being a major pain, I love having them help! But we need a no-bake option for holiday goodies!

We started simply this year, something even the littlest kid could help with. Even though he was invited to help make these amazing Chocolate Pretzel Bites, all he really wanted to help with was devouring them. Who can blame him?

I always make tons of different Christmas Treats to pass out as gifts to everyone and this year is no different. These little no-bake bites of dark chocolate atop Snyder’s Butter Squares are perfect to top with all sorts of goodies. We used dried apricots and cranberries, coconut flakes, chopped Pecans and crushed peppermint to top our pretzels bites. This recipe is so quick and easy and so versatile you can really let your taste buds do the driving on this one!

This is the first of our Twelve Days of Christmas Treats! Enjoy!

“NO BAKE” = music to my ears because that means the whole process is most likely easy… And by the looks of it, it is!! 🙂
